L'ultima volta che mi hai portato il caffe' e le brioches in ufficio,
L'ultima volta che mi hai imprestato il vestito perfetto per una festa,
L'ultima volta che mi hai portato i cani dal veterinario, perche' io ero in vacanza,
L'ultima volta che mi hai portato un regalo, chiuso con la iuta e decorato con i semi,
L'ultima volta che mi hai fatto un'abito in un ora, con scampoli di stoffa,
L'ultima volta che mi hai portato in River Road, in cerca di tesori,
L'ultima volta che mi hai detto di avere pazienza e di essere gentile, quando avevo litigato con un'amica,
L'ultima volta che mi hai fatto vedere come dimenticare rancore e risentimenti,
L'ultima volta che mi hai lasciato la pizza a casa perche' non avevo tempo per cucinare,
L'ultima volta che ti ho visto in ospedale e ti sei preoccupata per me,
L'ultima volta che ti ho parlato, senza sapere che fosse l'ultima.

The last time you took me to River Road, in search of treasures,
The last time you told me to be patient and kind, when I had argued with a friend,
The last time you showed me how to forget resentments, and rancour,
The last time you left pizza for me at home, because I had no time to cook,
The last time I saw you in the hospital and you worried for me,
The last time I saw you, without knowing it would be the last.
