The beautiful cave paintings by artist Heidi Lange were the starting point for the refurbishment
of this extraordinary lodge, nestled in a kopje on the Serengeti plains. To remain faithful to the
prehistoric theme, large new furniture was made for the public areas and covered with fake elephant
skin. Leather panels decorated with cave art were protected under glass in the dining room.
